Our Steiff Teddy bear pays tribute to the John Cleese character, that of a customer complaining that the parrot purchased “not half an hour ago from this very boutique” is dead. Michael Palin, as the pet shop owner, protests that the Norwegian Blue (“beautiful plumage”) is only “resting”. As subsequent claims and denials only increase the absurdity, it is finally revealed that this is indeed, an “ex-parrot”! Celebrate the unique and timeless humour of Monty Python with us.

ASQUITHS was established in 1984 and became one of the World's first Teddy Bear Shops. In March 2023 Asquiths passed into the safe hands of Rachel and has moved to its new home, still within Henley on Thames.
The Teddy Bears and some of their furry friends can be found in their new Grade II listed home in the centre of Henley and just a short stroll from the river Thames.
