Welcome to ASQUITHS, one of the world's pioneering teddy bear shops, established in 1984 by Joan Bland. In March 2023, Rachel Hollinrake took over the reins, bringing ASQUITHS to a new home, still nestled in the heart of Henley on Thames.

Our charming new location, a Grade II listed building in central Henley, is just a short stroll from the picturesque River Thames. Here, you’ll discover an enchanting collection of teddy bears from renowned brands such as Steiff, Teddy-Hermann, Merrythought, and Charlie Bears. We also feature artist bears and unique collectables from Maileg.

I've always been an avid teddy bear collector, and my passion truly blossomed when I worked part-time at ASQUITHS at the very start of my career. Over the past 22 years as a successful and passionate marketing professional, I've continued to nurture my love for bears and soft toys. Now, I'm thrilled to fulfill a lifelong dream by opening my very own Teddy Bear shop in my home town of Henley on Thames. I am immensely proud to take on Asquiths and continue its cherished legacy.

I am often kept company in the shop by Maggie, my Working Cocker Spaniel. Maggie is, on the whole!, a good little shop dog, always eager to "great" customers from the safety of her bed behind the desk. She can be a little nervous at first, but her gentle presence adds a warmth to the shop.
