A small 1930s Chiltern style teddy bear, with blonde mohair, orange and black glass eyes, black stitched nose and mouth, swivel head, jointed limbs with painted pads and inoperative squeaker —16 ½in. (42cm.) high

Probable maker: Chiltern Toy Works (or another English maker heavily influenced by Chiltern)

• Amber/orange and black glass eyes
• Black hand-embroidered nose and mouth
• Five-way jointed (swivel head and limbs)
• Rexine (painted leathercloth) paw pads
• Original squeaker (now inoperative)
