Meet Bertie. An Asquiths bear, once again.

There is something particularly special about having our own name on a teddy bear.

Asquiths has been surrounded by teddy bears for many years, and in the past we even had our own Asquiths bears made. We are therefore absolutely delighted to be returning to that tradition with a new generation of Asquiths Teddy Bears, made here in England.

And this is Bertie.

Bertie is a traditional mohair collector's teddy bear, measuring approximately 30cm from the top of his ear to the tip of his paw. His wonderfully tousled golden mohair gives him the gentle, slightly time-worn character of a bear who looks as though he might already have a story or two to tell.

He has a beautifully expressive face with dark eyes, a prominent black nose and a softly shaped muzzle. His long arms and legs give him a wonderfully traditional silhouette, while soft, pale paw pads provide a lovely contrast against his golden mohair.

Around his neck, Bertie wears a handsome deep green velvet ribbon, adding a simple, classic finishing touch.

Bertie has been created especially for Asquiths in a strict limited edition of only 100 bears. Once those 100 have found homes, there will be no more Berties from this edition.

For us, however, he represents rather more than a new teddy bear. Bertie marks the return of an old Asquiths tradition and the beginning of a new chapter in our own teddy bear story.
